Question 1

What does PreShip check?

Accepted Answer

PreShip runs 96 deterministic checks across 10 categories: first impression, mobile, visual consistency, accessibility, copy, technical SEO, social sharing, performance, security basics, and privacy signals. Each finding includes evidence, severity, and a suggested fix.

Question 2

Is PreShip a security audit?

Accepted Answer

No. PreShip checks basic security hygiene such as HTTPS, mixed content, exposed secrets, and security headers, but it is not a penetration test or security certification.

Question 3

Does PreShip detect AI-generated websites?

Accepted Answer

No. PreShip does not detect whether a website was made by AI. It checks objective quality signals only.

Question 4

How is the readiness score calculated?

Accepted Answer

The readiness score is a weighted average of category scores, then capped by critical gates such as placeholder page, no content, no HTTPS, and exposed secrets, plus a completeness check. A parked placeholder scores 0 even if its HTML is clean.

Question 5

Is PreShip free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. PreShip is free to run locally. It makes no external AI calls and has no subscription in V1.
